    Hi,

    The most likely explanation is that the folder contains a file that the server is having trouble deleting.

    If you double-click on the folder in the Fetch window, do you see any files listed in it?

    If so, try deleting any files you see, and then see if you can delete the folder.

    If you open the folder and do not see any files in it, or if deleting files in it did not help, try the following (these instructions are for Fetch 5):

    * Go to the Fetch menu, and choose Preferences.
    * Click the Miscellaneous tab.
    * Make sure the "Omit filesnames beginning with period" checkbox is unchecked, and the "Use LIST -al command to reveal hidden files" checkbox is checked.
    * Connect to your server again (if necessary).
    * Open the problem folder again (if necessary).
    * Go to the View menu, and choose Refresh.
    * Do you see any files in the folder now? If so, try deleting them, then deleting the folder.

    Let us know if either of these helps.

    Thanks,

    Any more thoughts on how to get rid of this folder?? Like I said I re-named it which did not work and I can not open it to see the files inside..when I erase the entire site it is the only folder left!

    Hi,

    It sounds like for some reason the server cannot deal with this folder - it may be that the permissions on it have gotten set incorrectly, or it contains a file that only the server administrator can delete.

    Unfortunately, you will have to contact the folks who run the server and ask them to delete it for you.

    Sorry not to have a better answer for you.

    Thanks,
