I have been using Fetch 4.01 since last December, very infrequently through. Have been uploading photos to our website, everything went fairly smoothly yesterday, and I went to finish things up today with no luck. I access the folder I want to upload to and when I hit either "put files" or "put folders and files" my computer freezes up. the watch just sits there and doesn't move and I have to reboot. I read some posts earlier today and gave a couple of your suggestions a try. I dumped the cache and preferences and shortcuts and reinstalled Fetch, but I have exactly the same problem. I would have tried to update to 4.02, but when I try to download that from this site the same thing happens, freezes up. I only know enough about all this to get myself in trouble, so I need some advice on what to try next. I am an AOL user, someone said that could be whats wrong :)

I will give it another try in the morning, but if you have any advice...

I hope it's not something really obvious, I will feel pretty foolish. :0

    Thanks in advance!

The problem with Fetch uploads and the problem with downloading Fetch 4.0.2 probably have nothing to do with each other, but it's very frustrating to have multiple problems hit at once!

I would recommend trying again to download Fetch 4.0.2. If the links at [url]http://fetchsoftworks.com[url] don't work I'd try the ones at http://getfetch4.com .

Another thing to check is whether you've installed any extensions that modify the file-choosing dialogs in the system, such as DefaultFolder. Restarting with the Mac OS 8.6 Base extension set chosen in the Extension Manager control panel is a way to try things without any non-Apple extensions.

    Thanks,
