Freeze on Command-Clicks (2 posts)

Does anyone else experience this? When using Fetch, if I hold down the Command (Apple) key and click in one of the open windows in Fetch -- to go up a directory by cmd-clicking in the title bar or cmd-click-dragging a window in the background or whatever -- the application freezes for 10-15 seconds and the processor on my G4 PowerBook is maxed out. Once that 10-15 seconds has passed everything continues as normal. Console shows nothing out of the ordinary while Fetch is frozen.

I'm currently running OS 10.5.8 and Fetch 5.6, but this problem has persisted through many upgrades. I contacted Support about it a couple of years ago, but they had no answers for me, and I've just put up with it. I guess I'm getting older and less tolerant of these little glitches! ;o)

    Hi Dave,

I have just tested doing this with Fetch 5.6 on my PowerBook G4 and cannot duplicate the problem.

But before I ask you more questions about the problem you're experiencing, I would like to review your previous conversation with support, but I cannot easily locate it without knowing your last name or your email address.

If you could send me a note to bugs@fetchsoftworks.com telling me your name and email address, I'll try to review your previous conversation with us and see if we have any new information or questions, and get back to you.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire
