    hi,

I'm new to fetch. I'm trying to upload a few files to my friend's server. I can log in fine but I can't upload anything. He says: "and you should
change directories into html ... which will put you into the internet
    directory (tp://and his server address)"

but I have no idea how to do this. Help?

    Thanks,
    M

When you login, do you see a folder in the Fetch file list named "html"? If so you want to double-click on that folder (to enter it) before uploading your files.

If that doesn't help could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after you try? Choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu to reveal it.

    Thanks,

You might try unchecking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Preferences. Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    hey,

oh my god, I think it's working. It seems to be transferring the file, and now displays a list of the contents of my folder on the server, which are both new things.

I'll post if anything goes horribly wrong.

    Thanks so much!
