FTP server dropped the connection (newbie) (3 posts)

  Hi there,
  I can't seem to get passed the 'New Connection' stage. I am entering the name of my domain "www.db8eigo.com", with the user name and password I use when logging into godaddy. The following is a transcript of my morning's efforts:

  Hi Stephen,

  This indicates that the server you are trying to connect to (www.db8eigo.com) is not accepting FTP connections, so Fetch cannot connect to it.

  You should contact the folks who run the server - if you purchased the domain name and hosting services from GoDaddy, you should contact them - and ask them to check and see why the server is not set up for FTP.
