Getting Fetch to Download in GL6 (2 posts)

  I need to download an html file to correct a line and now discover everything downloads in Explorer and not GL (classic) as before. This has happened since I installed OS10.4. (GL FTP quit working a long time ago and now I only use Fetch for ftp.) How can I get Fetch to download so I can re-edit and then upload?

  Hi,

  By "GL" do you mean "Adobe GoLive?"

  You can use the Transfer Options pane of the info window to set the preferred application for a certain kind of file (in this case, HTML files).

  You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in the Changing the application a file opens with topic in Fetch Help (click on the link to read the topic). Use the "Other" menu item as described in that topic to select GoLive classic.
