  I recently changed IPS and am on a wireless airport extreme card on my mac-I have tiger 10.4.9...and everytime I go to log in on fetch I get the server rejected the password message and it suggests contacting the server administrator to verify I have the correct login password,etc, Does this mean I have to contact the webhosting company that hosts my site?

  Hi,

  Yes, it may mean that you need to contact the folks who run the server you are trying to connect to.

  But if you post a transcript log of your attempt to connect, we'll take a look and see if we have any suggestions before you contact them.

  To do this, after you try to connect and you get the error message, choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

  We'll take a look and see if anything is wrong with Fetch, or if you should call your webhosting company.

  Hi,

  I'm running the same and get the same error message box coming up...my dreamweaver CS3 also doens't allow connection, all my details are bang on..hipoe you can help friend..

  also to help.....

  I tried on my laptop mac running dreamweaver 8 too and I have put details in EXACTLY like another site that works fine so all details correct...waiting for my server to open at 9am so I can ring them too....cheers.

  spoke to my server...they are using a new server...basically I had to add @yourdomain.co.uk to the username and the ftp. to the hostname!! Yippee!!

  Hi bandrui,

  Thanks for the transcript.

  Everything looks okay on the Fetch end, so I would suggest contacting the webhosting company and making sure you're entering the correct information in hostname, username, and password fields, or that there isn't some problem on their end.
