    It says.
"An FTP connection to "ezmagiclive.com" could not be opened because connection was refused."
    How can I solve this.

    Hi,

That means the server at that address is either not configured properly to accept FTP connections, or is not accepting them for some reason.

It could be that is not the correct hostname to FTP to, or that there's a problem with the server. You should contact your hosting provider (the folks who are providing the server space) and verify that is the correct hostname to use for making FTP connections, and that it is set up properly to accept FTP connections.

    Thanks,

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for your reply, but if it were not the right ftp address how come I can contact the same address from another mac simply using an earlier fetch? puzzling...

    Hi,

It could be that the server is set up to only accept FTP connections from a specific list of IP addresses (the address of a computer on the Internet), and that other Mac is on the list, and the Mac you are trying from is not.

I have tried to connect with various versions of Fetch, old and new, as well as other FTP clients, and each time the server refuses to accept the connection when I try to connect to "ezmagiclive.com".

You should double-check very carefully the information entered in the Fetch New Connection dialog on the Mac that works to make sure you are entering exactly the same information on the new Mac. If you are sure you are, you should contact the folks who run the server to find out why you cannot connect from the Macintosh with the problem.

    Thanks,
