I have just uploaded my first web site. At the top of my web site window, it says "index". How can I change it to my web site title?

    Hi,

You need to change the "title" tag of your webpages.

Your website editing program probably provides a way for you to do this; look for a way to change the "title" or "page name" of each page. If you are not sure where it is, you should contact the makers of your website editing program and ask them how to make this change.

You can make this change manually, but if you are using a website editing program, it is probably best to do it within the website editing program.

Then you will need to re-upload your revised webpages.

    Thanks,

    Hi Scott,

Thank you for your advise! I have found a way to change the title of the index files. It was a bit confusing but eventually I realized that I had to make a ".htaccess" file to make whole thing work.

Again, thank you for your prompt reply!!
