I've read the Help for this topic and I'm totally confused by it. I want to give 1 person a 1 time access todownload a specific file in my web site with this password. Can anyone give specific directions on how to create this 1 time password, Please?

The easiest thing to do is to encrypt the file with the password, using DropStuff or StuffIt Deluxe from Aladdin ( http://www.stuffit.com ). Anyone could download the file, but only the person with the password could actually read it.

To make it so that someone would need the password to download the file requires changing the configuration of the web server. Different web servers do this in different ways. Apache (a popular web server program) uses a special file named .htaccess and a separate password file. You would set those up with UNIX utilties; it isn't a very user-friendly process. Other web servers may have more approachable methods, you'd have to check with your service provider to see what was available in your situation.

    Thanks,
