I am trying to recover my password.. When I go to my

    Shortcuts
    Show shortcuts
    Click one of them
    Edit Shortcut

I see the details of the shortcut. But the Password is shown as bullets.

How can I discover the actual password?

How can I convert that to a new password?

    Hi,

    To recover the password:

    * In the Finder, choose Utilities from the Go menu
    * Open the Keychain Access application
    * Type the hostname for your server in the search field; you should see a list of passwords, including the one saved for this shortcut
    * Double-click the password entry, and check the Show Password checkbox
    * Enter your Mac system password when prompted

I'm not sure what you mean by converting the password to a new one. If you change the password for the account on the server, you can type that new password into the Edit Shortcut window to update the shortcut.

    Thanks,

    Hi Les,

To reset your FTP login password, contact the hosting company that administers the server you are logging into.

    Thanks,
