I've been using Fetch for years, but when I got my new G5 I tried to import my shortcut list but NO GO!! Even when I attempt to build it from scratch, it keeps disappearing. It remembers "recent connections" but nothing from my "Open Shortcut" menu option except my default shortcut which only lists one. How do I fix this? I manage 70 web sites and need to have them all listed there. Very frustrating!!!

One way to move shortcuts over from another copy of Fetch is to move the "Fetch Shortcuts" file from the old computer into the Preferences folder in the Library folder of your home folder on the new computer. Then run Fetch, and your shortcuts should all show up.

If that does not work, I would recommend taking these steps:

    1) Run Fetch
    2) Choose "Fetch Shortcuts" from the Window menu.
    3) Double-click your old Fetch Shortcuts file (you should now have two windows named Fetch Shortcuts open).
    4) Select all of your old shortcuts
    5) Holding down the Option key, drag the old shortcuts into the new Fetch Shortcuts window.

Please let me know if that does not do the trick.

    Thanks,

The drag & drop part worked like a charm, but when I quit Fetch, then re-launch it again, the shortcut list is again blank. Where is it going?

It sounds like there's some problem saving the shortcuts. You might try bringing the new Fetch Shortcuts window to the front and choosing Save from the File menu after dragging the shortcuts over. If that does not help I would quit Fetch, delete the Fetch Shortcuts file from the Preferences folder in the Library folder, and start over.

    Thanks,
