    Hey,

Every time I try to upload my index page it doesn't work. Instead, when I view my site I see a white page bearing the title "Index of /". On this page is a list of links to all the files and folders stored in my public html folder. Among them is the page that I would like to use as my home page. When I click on the link it displays, so I know that I've coded it correctly.

The scant advice I can find simply says that to create a homepage you simply need to code it in a text editor, save it as an html document, preferably entitled "index.html," and then "put" the file. This is what I have done. What am I missing?

    Hi,

Is the index.html file inside the public_html folder? If not, that is where it should be.

If that doesn't solve the problem, send us the address (URL) of your website and we will take a look and see if we have any further advice.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire
