    I've saved my Iweb to a file. Using godaddy. downloaded fetch. Used "put" to identify the folder and upload it. When I view on Fetch it shows the site when I go to the web it doesn't show. I get this message. Help? Do I need to do something additional with godaddy??

    The requested URL /Ruthies_Trailer_Town/Welcome.html was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.ruthiestrailertown.com Port 80

    Hi,

    After you used iWeb's Publish to Folder feature, did you upload both the index.html and the folder named "Ruthies_Trailer_Town" that it created?

    For example, let's assume when you use "Publish to a Folder," you tell iWeb to put its files in a folder called "My New Website."

    Once iWeb is done, in the Finder you will see:

    My New Website (folder)
      index.html
      Ruthies_Trailer_Town (folder)

    (The name of the folder may vary slightly.) Inside the "Ruthies_Trailer_Town" folder will be folders and files corresponding to each page of your website.

    For your website to work correctly, you must be sure to upload both that index file, and the "Ruthies_Trailer_Town" website folder - that is, upload the entire contents of the "My New Website" folder, but don't upload the "My New Website" folder itself.

    Please let us know if this helps or not.

    Thanks,

    I followed your steps the first time I had problems but just repeated it again just in case. isolating the "index" and the ruthies_trailer_Town files and using the "put" to upload them. I used my IP# for the hostname. Is that a problem?
    The error message is still the same.
    Please advice...

    Hi,

    No, using the IP address instead of the hostname shouldn't be a problem.

    If you could do the following, I'll take a look and see if I can identify the problem:

    * Quit Fetch, if it's running.
    * Open Fetch again.
    * Connect to your server.
    * Go to the View menu, and choose Reload.
    * Go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
    * Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

    Thanks,
