    Hi,

To make sure I understand your situation, you have used iWeb to create several websites, and you want to upload just one of them to your server, is that correct?

Which version of iWeb do you have?

    Thanks,

yes, there are several sites that i had published to a folder, and that was published via godaddy
now the folders are messed up in fetch and i don't know how to correct it...
is there a way for me to speak to someone on the phone that can walk me through this?

    Hi,

I'm sorry, but we don't offer telephone support.

If you are hosting several website for several domains out of the same account on GoDaddy, you may need to contact them to figure out how it's supposed to be set up to get that to work; that is not something we can help advise you on because we are not familiar with how GoDaddy requires your folders to be organized for that to work.

If you are trying to upload just a single site to a single domain, with iWeb 3.0.1, you can just select one of your sites and publish just that site to a folder; you do this by making sure you've clicked the name of the site in the sidebar on the left of the iWeb window before clicking the Publish Site button. Doing that might simplify things, if that's not what you're doing already.

We have step by step instructions on using Fetch to upload websites created with iWeb (click the link to read them).

If you are trying to upload a single site, I recommend that you delete all your website files that are already on the server (since they aren't working anyway); follow the steps in our help topic to upload the site in question, and see if it works after you do that. If you are still having trouble after doing that, we can try to help out.

But if you are trying to get multiple sites set up in the same account, then you should not delete everything, and instead contact GoDaddy for help sorting things out; they are probably the only ones who can help you with that.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

godaddy customer support was able to get it fixed, thanks very much for your help!
(iweb '09 can publish directly to the server, did not need to use fetch)

    Hi,

You're welcome. Yes, iWeb '09 can publish directly to FTP servers. There are some situations and servers where the iWeb publishing does not work correctly (and Fetch does), and there are things Fetch can do that iWeb cannot, so some folks still find using Fetch useful even with iWeb '09. However, the important thing is that your sites are up and working, and we're glad to hear you're all set.

Please let us know if we can be of assistance in the future.

    Best,

    Scott McGuire
