I had to do an archive & install on my brand new G5, and several applications are having serious issues, Fetch included. All drag-and-drop functionality in Fetch is gone. I tried to reinstall, but I think there some hidden files I didn't erase. Is there any way to do a clean uninstall?

The files you might want to delete are:

    Fetch Prefs
    Fetch Shortcuts
    Fetch Cache
    com.fetchsoftworks.Fetch.plist

They should all be in the Preferences folder in the Library folder of your home folder.

If that does not work could you describe the problem in more detail? Are you using Fetch 4.0.3?

    Thanks,

I did a search for every file with the term 'fetch' in it & deleted it. Same problem.

    Yes, it is Fetch 4.0.3.

I cannot drag & drop files from the desktop or other folders on my system onto the fetch window. Remote > Put folders and files works fine, however.

Dragging and dropping files into folders within the Fetch window is not functioning either.

I've found fixes for the other problematic applications affected by the archive and install:

    Photoshop:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/338f6.htm

    Flash:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/service/ts/documents/mac_archive_install.htm

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks.

This is a new one to me; it sounds like some system file or setting is broken. Does dragging and dropping files to other applications work?

    Thanks,
