    Hi Jim

I've read other accounts and disabled my firewall, enabled PASV transfer, unchecked Use Internet Config box.
I have a problem with this particular (brand-new Mini-) Mac connecting to one particular site (can FTP to other sites OK, and can FTP to this one using my PC).
The process stops with the message:
Server response - Can't open data connection.

    Here's the transcript - I'd appreciate your advice - it's most frustrating.

It looks like this server does not support passive mode; I'd turn it off in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences.

    Thanks,

Thanks, that seems to have fixed it
