Unable to connect to a particular FTP site using any OS 9 FTP client, though Fetch in OSX (but not Transmit in OSX), Command line FTP in OSX and any Windows FTP client (that I have tried) does connect.

Session hangs at the point where the directory listing is sought.

    Thanks in advance.

You might try unchecking "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" in the Firewall section of Preferences. Does that help?

    Thanks,

Actually I tried both, with PASV on and off. For 9, it did not work either way, but for OS X, it worked both ways. Consistently on same computer.

    Thank you.
