    I have uploaded new information for my site a few times, I have deleted all of the files and started from scratch, I checked to make sure that I was uploading them to the correct location (I went to the Fetch menu Go - Home - then put the files again), I have cleared my cache, and when I go to my site the old information is still there. The site works fine the way that it is however, none of my new information is there.
    I tried everything that I could find on the message board here and am still having trouble with this. Please, please help! I have never had trouble like this before.
    Thanks,
    Libby

    Hi Libby,

    We'd like some more information to help figure out what's going on.

    First, what is the address of your website?

    Second, please do the following:

    * Quit Fetch, if it's running.
    * Open Fetch again.
    * Connect to your server.
    * Go to the View menu, and choose Refresh.
    * Then go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
    * Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

    We'll take a look and see if we can advise.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

    I also uninstalled my registered version of Fetch and then downloaded and installed it again (again, something to try)...I still have not entered the serial number, but I did not think that would have anything to do with this problem.

    Hi Libby,

    No, this has nothing to do with your Fetch installation or Fetch registration. The problem appears to be that you are uploading your new website files into the wrong folder on your server.

    Your updated website files need to go into the "public_html" folder, but it looks like you're putting them in your Home folder instead.

    Here's what you should try:

    * Delete the files you just uploaded in your Home folder, since they are in the wrong place and all they're doing is taking up space on your server. However, there are some files and folders in the home folder you should not delete because they aren't part of your website. Only delete the files that belong to your website, which are:

    Contact_Us.html
    Contact_Us_files
    EBAY.html
    EBAY_files
    Engine_Package_1.
    Media
    OSR_NEWS
    Photos
    Race_Parts
    Scripts
    Welcome.html
    Welcome_files
    Who_is_OSR.html
    Who_is_OSR_files
    assets.http:--www.osrbikes.com.plist
    feed.xml
    index.html

    * Next, double-click on the public_html folder to open it.

    * Upload your website to the public_html folder.

    Let us know if that doesn't fix the problem.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

    Thank you so much! Everything is up and running perfectly. I do feel like a bit of an idiot, have used this many times and never done this before. Libby

    Hi There,

    I have run my website through Fetch for a couple of years now. Today I decided to revamp the whole thing so I went into Fetch and deleted everything (including 'trash' folder etc) and have been struggling to get the new site up since. Up until just now the 404 error has been showing up - until I made my own public_html folder and uploaded everythign in there.

    I think i'm slowly making headway as little parts of it now show up... but it's mostly a mess. Could you help me at all?
    It would be greatly appreciated

    if it's any indication of what might be missing/wrong - opening Fetch there are four folders up;
    .cpanel
    .trash
    public_ftp
    public_html

    and within the public html folder is my index.html file and the rest of the website folders..
