New User with no User name, password (2 posts)

  Hi
  I purchased fetch this afternoon but was never prompted to create a username and password or any type of an account. So now I have paid for this software but cannot use it. I need this to transfer files back and forth that I cannot send or receive thru email because the files are too large.

  Hello,

  Fetch is an application that you can use with any number of FTP or SFTP accounts, but it does not include an account. It's like a car that can drive anywhere, but does not come with a parking space.

  If the people you want to transfer files to have an FTP or SFTP server, they can give you the information you need to connect to their server with Fetch. Alternatively, you can get an FTP/SFTP server account yourself from a company like Pair.com, upload your files there, and let people download files from your server account.
