Using Fetch 3.04b6sec on a Macintosh G4 running OS 9.1. This is probably a dumb question. Now that only Kerberized access is allowed to our server, I'm having a problem downloading entire directories because within each directory at the top of the Fetch window is a file called "total", followed by a number and preceded by an unknown character; Fetch tries to download this file and stops because it can't find it. So the only way to down load the contents of a directory is to select all the files but the problem file. What are those files and is there a way to tell Fetch to ignore them?

Fetch tries to ignore that line, but obviously that isn't working. Could you use the View File List command and post the results? Also, have you tried Fetch 4.0 final (which also supports Kerberos)?

    Thanks,

Thanks for responding to my question. I have tried Fetch 4.0 and it produces the same results. Below I have pasted in the results of the View File List command for one of the directories that is producing the problem:

    total 170

Just out of curiosity, I highlighted the "total" file that is causing the problem and copied it into a word processor to see how the name displays—I don't know if this has any bearing on what is happening:

    %0atotal%20170

Fetch checks for the word "total" at the beginning of the line, and this server apparently sends a linefeed (that's the %0a) first, so Fetch does not recognize it. I will teach Fetch about this variant for the next release, and you might ask the server administrator if she knows of a way to keep the server from sending that line feed.
