when I upload new folders they do not override what is there -- just adds to the file leaving me with a lot that needs to be deleted. How do I set for upload in complete folder state? Thank you so so much for answer...-A

    Hi,

When you use the Put button or drag folders to the Fetch window to upload them, Fetch will always merge the folder contents with existing folders of the same name, instead of replacing them.

To accomplish what you want, I would recommend using the Fetch Mirror feature, which will synchronize the two folders if you check the "Delete stray items at destination" option. As a bonus, only new or changed files will be uploaded, saving you time.

See the Mirroring a local folder to a remote folder help topic in Fetch Help (or click on the link) for more information. (Note that that topic doesn't mention the "Delete stray items" checkbox, but you'll see it in the Mirror window).

Another option would be to just delete the existing folders before uploading, but using Mirror would probably be quicker.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
