I used to be able (with Fetch on Mac OS 8.x) to remove directories very easily, regardless of what they contained. Now, I cannot remove directories at all. I get "Server file error: [name of subdirectory]: Directory not empty," despite that subdirectory being empty. I would like to be able to delete a parent directory not no regard for its contents.

Okay, cut-and-paste rendered my usual , fluent english something more like pidgeon. However, I still really need help removing directories.

    Thanks!

I would check "Send LIST -al to UNIX servers" from the "Obscure Options" pop-up menu in the Misc. section of Fetch Preferences. If that doesn't do the trick could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after you get the error?

    Thanks,

FANTASTICO!! My directories are now neat, tidy, and without the flotsam and jetsam that annoyed me to no end. THANK YOU for your prompt help!

    Cheers,
    JT
