Hi there. I have Fetch 5.2 running on OS 10.4. I looked in the preference pane under "Downloads" and I seem to be missing the checkbox to "Allow automatic decoding of downloaded files". I think that is where I would set this (I do NOT want zip archives to be automatically unzipped), but I don't seem to have that in my preferences. Any ideas?

    Hi,

We did notn't the preference to turn off all decoding with a single checkbox until Fetch 5.3. However, you can turn off Zip Archive decoding in Fetch 5.2 by another method.

So, you can either update to Fetch 5.3 (a free update for you), and then you will see the checkbox you want in the Download preferences; or you can do the following:

Connect to your server, select a file whose name ends in ".zip", choose Remote > Get Info, and uncheck the "Automatically decode files like this checkbox" in the Transfer Options pane of the info window.

Please let us know if you have more questions. Thanks,
