    Hi,

I operate a MAC using Tiger Version 10.4.4, and wonder if that may be preventing me from printing out the ftp window.

Under file PAGE SET-UP is available, however PRINT is grayed out. Any suggestions would be helpfu.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Sorry, Fetch does not support printing out the FTP window... that's why Print is grayed out. (You can print text, media, and transcript windows, which is why Page Setup is available.)

You could take a screenshot of the of FTP window and print out the screenshot using Preview.

To take a screenshot, type Command-Shift-4. Then press the spacebar. The cursor should turn into a camera. Click on the window you want to print out. A file named "Picture 1" (or "Picture 2", etc., depending on how many you take) will appear on your Desktop. Open it in Preview, and print.

    Thanks,

    Scott,

Thanks so much for responding so quickly.

I had been selecting copy, then pasting it into TextEdit, however the appearance was not to my liking.

I will use your method until MAC OS X catches up to Fetch.

    Hi Wanda,

You're welcome. Here's another option that might work even better than a screenshot, I'm sorry I forgot to mention it earlier:

    * Make the FTP window you want to print the front window.
    * Choose "View Verbose File List" from the "Remote" menu (assuming you're using Fetch 5).
    * That will give a list of the files and folders in that window, which while not as pretty as the regular Fetch window, will be better than what you get when copying and pasting into TextEdit.
    * Then choose Print.

    Thanks,

    Good morning Scott,

Thanks for suggesting another option, however I prefer your first suggestion to use screen shot.

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.
