    Hi,

I'm trying to write a simple applescript that will transfer some files from the remote side to the local side. My problem is the connection window that appears automatically when Fetch starts. Is there a way to programmatically make this disappear? If the dialog is already dismissed the script works as intended, but if it is still there the script stalls.

If you uncheck the "Show New Connection dialog at startup" box in the Misc. section of Preferences that window will not appear automatically.

    Thanks,

Yeah, I figured that out, but I like that window! May I suggest providing an applescript option to dismiss the dialog as a feature request for the next version?
Perhaps something like: make new transfer window (blabla) without new connection dialog.

The next version of Fetch will automatically dismiss the New Connection dialog if an Apple Event comes in, so it won't block scripts from operating.
