I originally signed up for Fetch through a company with which I am now no longer
affiliated. I tried logging on through it but now my password doesn't work. Can I now sign up and have my own account and if so, how do I go about doing this? I teach at an art college so as an educator, I assume I still can get a Fetch account for free.
Thanks in advance for taking care of this request.

    Hi Abby,

Here at Fetch we do not provide accounts - we just make Fetch, the software program that lets you access an account run by other companies or people. We do not provide a service, or servers, for storing your website or files.

But yes, we do provide the Fetch software to educators for free.

If you need a new place to store your website or files, you should contact a hosting provider (a company that provides and maintains server space for storing web pages, FTP files, etc.), and they can help set up an account for you. Or you should talk to your college's information technology department, and they may be able to set up an account for you on a college server.

For a more detailed description of the difference between Fetch the software and the accounts you access, please see our help topics What is Fetch? and What do I enter in the hostname, username, and password fields?

I hope this clarifies things, please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

I teach in the English Dept. of City University of NY, College of Staten Island.
You can find me in your free-Tetch file from that.
I'm often in Europe for the summer, and don't usually bring all my passwords, account numbers, etc.
But I do sometimes prepare work for the web.
Last summer I noticed that my Fetch wasn't working, and I needed it, so I used someone else's, but I didn't fix it, and now I see I have the same problem, but there's no one around to help.
Please restore my old Fetch account number before this two week free trial period ends, so I can continue working on website all summer.
    Thanks you,
    BR
