I currently have 30 registered copies of Fetch 3.0.3. I am evaluating the 4.0.1 version. One feature that caught my eye was Resume Download, however, I cannot get it to work. I've tried manually quitting Fetch halfway through a transfer, force quitting Fetch, and simply turning off the Mac, but each time I resend the file, it starts at the beginning of the file again.

Am I overlooking a preference setting?

The resume feature only applies to downloads -- transfers from the server to your Mac. And you have to initiate such a transfer by choosing "Resume Download..." from the Remote menu or double-clicking the partial file on your desktop (it will have the icon of the Fetch dog holding a broken floppy).

Does that explain what you've seen?

Ok, I was trying to redrag the file to the desktop. I am able to get the feature to work on several servers, however, one returns: Server Response: Reply marker must be 0. Then it deletes the partial transfer file.

I was also hoping the feature also applied to uploads too. I suppose because of obvious reasons, this is not possible?

It sounds like that server does not support resuming downloads (it only allows them to start at the first byte of the file, byte 0). I hope to add support for resuming uploads in a future release.
