I was rung up by people with indian accents claiming to be Microsoft Support telling me there were lots of warnings coming up from my computer. They persuaded me to log into fetchview which gave me an ID and password
which they wanted and which gave them control of my computer.

I asked them for identification and got suspicious.

Can I give you the ID and password and ask you to disable it?

    Thanks

    Hi Keith,

I'm sorry that you were the victim of a scam, but I think you've contacted the wrong company.

The Fetch software we make does not allow others to access or control your computer.

Our software only works on Macintosh computers and is a file transfer client; it lets you move files to other computers.

I'm not sure to suggest who to contact, because I haven't heard of a program called "fetchview."

Good luck, and please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire
