Fetch has worked for me before I upgraded to 5.0.5. Please help me reset the settings or whatever I need to do to make it work, TODAY!!!!! I want people to be able to access the files. When I type in the address I've been using for months now, the error message reads "Alert 421 Unable to secure anonymous ftp." Please advise. Thanks, Tchiya

    Hi,

Sorry you are having troubles with Fetch.

Could you please post some more information to help us figure out the problem? Try to connect, and after you get the error message, choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the contents of the transcript window, and paste them here?

Do you know what version of Fetch you were using previously?

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

Hi. Thanks for writing so quickly! Fetch is working fine. How can others acces? The error message must be from the browser, it says 421, unable to secure anonymous ftp. But here is the transcript:

    Hi,

The address you should type into the browser to see your files is usually different from the one you type into Fetch to connect to upload the files. (Which can be confusing, but unfortunately there's nothing Fetch can do about it - it's how most companies have set up their servers.)

I think if you enter this address into your browser, you will see your files:

    http://www.dymondhosting.com/tchiya/

Let us know if this does not fix the problem.
