Why do I get an error message indicating that my password is open to the public unless I disconnect and how do I send a secure password when connecting with Fetch ?

That warning is meant as a convenience for users who usually use a server that allows secure passwords, and want to be warned when they (perhaps accidentally) contact one that doesn't. Unfortunately, very few FTP servers support secure passwords, so most users keep that option turned off (in the Security section of Fetch Preferences).

    Thanks,
