Secure FTP with SSL (3 posts)

I am a Fetch 4 user with an AT&T Worldnet account and DSL from a local provider. In the Worldnet user manual (http://www.wurd.com/pwp_faq.php#Q36) it says FTP access to upload files to my web page requires secure FTP using SSL. I was excited to see SFTP was added in Fetch 5, so I got the trial version and tried it on AT&T. No luck. Apparently the security protocol on Fetch is still different from what AT&T asks for. Is there something I can try to make Fetch 5 work, or is it something for later versions?

It's something for later versions. FTP with SSL (sometimes called ftps) is a totally different protocol from SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol), and we don't support it yet.

    Thanks,

OK, thanks for the reply. Lookin forward to it when it comes...
BTW, I did mean to say -licensed- Fetch 4 user, just in case there was doubt. ;-) I expect you're fully conscious of the distinction when people write in.
