Sending from a ibm to a mac (2 posts)

    The person I want to send a file to uses I mac I have an IBC they use Fetch and I would need another FTP client can I transfer files to them using say WS_FTP?

    Fetch and WS_FTP are FTP clients -- they let you send files to an FTP server. To send files to the other person you could use WS_FTP to upload the files to a server and the other person could use Fetch to download the files from the server. In that scenario you would both need access to an ftp server account somewhere. To transfer files directly you would need to run FTP server software on one of your computers, and possibly deal with some firewall issues.
