    I'm using Fetch 4.0.3 with a Mac OSX (version 10.3.9). From Italy, I maintain 2 websites sitting on 2 servers in England. In December, I was able to access both without problems. Now, I can only access one. Everyone in England can access the one that I can't, and the only message that I get now is "Error: the server dropped the connection (it may be too busy)." According to the transcript, my username and password are accepted and then it reports:

    257 "/" is the current directory.
    MACB ENABLE
    200 MacBinary mode enabled.
    PWD
    257 "/" is the current directory.
    TYPE A
    200 Using ascii mode to transfer files.
    PASV
    get_reply():con_conn->Getline() returns -3253
    ftp_list: -30014 (state == GETTING_LIST)
    QUIT
    send_cmd():con_conn->Putline() returns -3253

    Can you help me re-connect? Thanks!

    The first thing I would try is unchecking "Use passive mode data transfers (PASV)" in the Firewall section of Preferences. Does that help? If not, please post the complete transcript.

    Thanks,
