    I am trying to connect to another FTP site using a Mac OS 10.4.8 and Fetch 4.0.3. This is the response I'm receiving:

    Server response: could not open data connection to port 25623. Connection timed out.

    Any help?

    Hi,

    We'd like some more information to help diagnose the problem.

    After you try to connect and you get the error message, could you please choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message?

    We'll take a look and try to figure out what's going on.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the transcript.

    Try the following in Fetch:

    * Click Cancel in the New Connection dialog, if the New Connection dialog is showing.
    * Choose Preferences from the Fetch menu.
    * Click the Firewall tab.
    * Make sure the "Use mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox is checked.
    * Click OK.
    * Try connecting to the server again.

    Let us know if this fixes the problem or not.
