Remove Shortcut and Edit Shortcut will only be enabled when the Fetch Shortcuts window is in front, and a shortcut is selected. To bring the Fetch Shortcut window to the front choose "Fetch Shortcut" from the Window menu. Click on a shortcut to select it.

My guess is that you are choosing "Create New Shortcut..." from the Shortcut pop-up menu in the New Connection dialog before filling in the Host and User ID fields. You should choose that command after you have entered the information -- it creates a shortcut from the information you have already entered.

To have your password saved check the Add to Keychain box (on OS X) or use the Edit Shortcut command.

    Thanks,
