    Hi all,

First of all, fetch works fine and does what I want it to do.

However, when I download a file I normally see the bytes transferred zipping up continuously (I think it depends on whether I'm downloading a single file or several), while uploads feel very slow: the progress will be updated only very slowly, usually with tens of seconds in between (even though the uploading itself doesn't stop), making it hard to judge how much time it will take or if the connection is stuck.

The files get uploaded, but I would like it if I could see the upload progressing (see if the bytes are zipping up). Is there any way to solve this?

I'm using OS X.2 on an ibook G3/700, and I don't know if I'm the only one having this.

    Thanks in advance!

Fetch 4 only updates the progress indicator after sending a 128KB buffer of data. Since it can take a number of seconds for a DSL or cable modem to send 128KB (and longer for a dial-up modem), there are the long pauses that you have observed.

I've changed the next release of Fetch to update progress when parts of a buffer are sent, so the reporting is much smoother.

    Thanks for the feedback,
