    Hi,

I've been trying to upload a a couple of stuffed files, 1 is 200MB and the other is 800MB, to my ftp site, and fetch keeps hanging up.

Someone was able to upload a 300MB file to my ftp from their own computer and did it fine. I was able to download it fine. It seems only the upload is where the hangup is.

Any advice? is this a problem with my cable internet service?

    Thanks in advance

Uploads are usually slower than downloads, due to the design of DSL and cable modem systems.

How much of your files is being uploaded, and what sort of speeds are you seeing? Have you tried resuming uploads? (For more information on that, see the Resuming uploads topic in Fetch Help. Resuming uploads is only available in Fetch 5).

    Thanks,

I'm seeing anywhere between 4000 bytes p/sec to 7800 bytes p/sec.....it hangs up at some point though. I'm on Fetch 4.0.3....is it possible to upload a 800MB stuffed file? I can't figure out why my friend was able to upload a 200 MB and I can't do the same.

If I upgrade to the new fetch, will this solve my problem?

    thanks for your help

4 to 8KB/sec is not very fast, even for uploading.

I would recommend downloading Fetch 5 from http://fetchsoftworks.com (you can try it free of charge for 15 days). Also, be sure that your ftp server will let you store a file that large.

    Thanks,
