I've been doing some speed comparisons between Fetch 3.1 under OS9 and Fetch 4.0.2 under OSX. The OSX transfers have been approx 3X SLOWER! does anyone know why this might be?

    Thanks,
    Paul

The environment that Fetch runs in is very different between OS 9 and OS X, but all the same I'm very suprised by those results, and I haven't seen them in my testing. That said, I am working to improve Fetch's OS X performance for the next major release.

    Thanks,

I am getting huge differences (10-fold) between OS X (10.1.5) and OS9 (9.2.2) with Fetch 4.02. OS9 transfers are 2700 KBps while OSX are something like 250KBps. I am transfering MP3 files from an WinXP box (using Serv-U) to an iBook via a router. In fact OSX was so slow I was looking for another FTP programs and most of the ones I have tried has no such problems with slow tranfers in OSX. I really like Fetch, but this seems to be a real problem. For now it is quicker to reboot in OS9 than to wait on the transfers in OSX.
