i keep having this same problem, when i upload, just before it completes, (about 10 seconds away) the speed gradually slows down and down and the download doesnt get any further. it only happens if im using a file above 1 or 2 mb though. i dont reckon it is to do with my connection because its been fine for a while and nothigns changed elsewhere. please help

Does the transfer actually complete? Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after you see the problem?

    Thanks,

I've just started having the same problem, but mine stops uploading sooner. I've been doing this with this client for 6-8 months and until now it's worked fine. I start to upload and the dog keeps running, but the time left either freezes, or if I click outside of fetch, and then inside the dialog box again, the time left keeps increasing. I tried about 8 times to upload a certain file. THen today I unclicked "use Passive Mode transfers" and then it worked for one tif, but no more.

My mac and pc are connected with a router. On the pc, I just updated Norton Internet Security...but I don't have anything on the mac.

I just tried this for the tenth time, and got within 41 seconds before fetch froze with the dog running. I had Fetch Transcript open, and there was no completion. When I finally stopped the poor dog, I closed the window and my transcipt log said ABOR once I reconnected...

    help!!!!!!!!!

by the way , what is "MACB ENABLE" command not understood

    miss v:

If the time left keeps increasing, while the bytes transfered stays the same, it means that the transfer has stalled. Do I understand correctly that it is stalling before the entire file has been transfered?

MACB is a command Fetch sends to find out if the server supports MacBinary format (some Mac servers do). If the server says "Command not understood" that's okay; that tells Fetch to not use MacBinary format unless you ask it to.

    Thanks,
