We have a broadband connection but the files only seem to transfer at 56k

    Any suggestions

What sort of bytes/sec numbers are you getting? And is this uploading (putting files to a server) or downloading (getting files from a server)?

    Thanks,

34/40 byte per second, and uploading to a server

40kbytes/sec translates to 320kbits/sec, which is a good upload rate for most DSL or cable modem connections (which typically offer faster speeds for downloads than for uploads). For comparison's sake, a dial-up connection is limited to 33kbits/sec, or 4kbytes/sec (one tenth of what you are seeing).

    Thanks,
