Stalling on large docs (2 posts)

  iMac500, MacS 10.4.5, 768MB RAM, Fetch 5.0.5.
  Trying to upload a 15.6MB PDF: 'stalling' appears and nothing further happens. What can I do to upload this PDF?
  Is it because of the Academy Awards, political, etc., my nerdishness?

  Hi,

  Does the PDF file always stall at the same place when you try to upload it?

  The most likely cause of stalls when trying to upload a large file is that you are out of space (also known as "quota") in your account on the server. Unfortunately most FTP servers do not give a useful error when this happens, and your server does not report the remaining space in its transcript.

  You should contact the folks who maintain your server and check to see how much space you have left, and if you are running out of space, how to get more. If this turns out not to be the problem, please let us know and we will investigate further.
