When I upload files to my FTP site in Fetch 4 they are ocassionally automatically compressed by stuffit. Is there any way to turn this feature off?

    Hi,

By default, Fetch uses an automatic process to determine which format to upload files with. The most commonly uploaded files, such as text files, graphic files, and sound files, should not be uploaded as StuffIt files. However, some kinds of files that contain special Macintosh information will be compressed as StuffIt files in order to preserve the special Macintosh information.

If you could please tell us what kind of files end up being automatically compressed, we can either provide advice on how to avoid that happening, or determine if Fetch is incorrectly deciding to compress them. In either case, we're interested in hearing more about the files.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire
