What if....in Fetch 4.0.3....I have two FTP connection windows open......

One is to my current site.

One is to my future site (account is active).

Drag the folders (like drag ‘n’ drop) from the old site window to the new site window.  What/whose internet connection is utilized?

Does it use the two companies direct connection to net to copy between??? That’d be at the speed of their net connections?  Or does it go from my old site....to my ‘MAC’.....to the new site?

Basically, I'm transferring my web hosting company. But..it's a ~4gb site. I have DSL....and that's over 7 days worth of Fetch...

    Thanks,

By default the transfer happens by way of your Mac. You can choose "Use direct server-to-server transfers" from the Obscure Options pop-up menu in the Misc. section of Preferences to have Fetch try to use direct transfers. That option is off by default because many servers do not support it, but you might want to give it a try. If it fails Fetch will try to fall back to doing it the slow way.
