    After three months of absolutely no problem with Fetch and FTP, I am unable to connect to my FTP on a regular basis. I have tried turning off the PASV and that doesn't work. Here is the transcript. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Carol

    Hi Carol,

    We're sorry to hear you're having problems.

    This might be a problem with the server, but the first thing I'd suggest trying is updating to Fetch 5.2.1, which is a free update for you. We made a variety of improvements to the parts of the program that talk to servers.

    You can get the update by going to the Fetch menu, and choosing Check for Update, or by going to the Fetch downloads page:

    http://fetchsoftworks.com/downloads.html

    And clicking on the Fetch 5.2.1 link.

    Please let us know if that helps or not. If not we'll investigate further.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

    Hi Carol,

    Sorry to hear that didn't help. Could you please do the following? (I know you said you'd tried turning off passive, but I'd like to see the transcript of what happens when it's off.)

    * Quit Fetch.
    * Open Fetch.
    * Go to the Fetch menu, choose Preferences, and click the General tab.
    * Uncheck the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox.
    * Try to connect to your server.
    * Then show us the transcript from that attempt to connect, if it didn't work.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire
