Trying to upload to the printer's website and keep getting this error message when I click on my file:

Fetch could not put "TAW Apr:May 13.pdf" because the FTP server encountered an error accessing a file or folder.
If you entered a file name, folder name, or URL, check that it is correct.
Server responded: "The parameter is incorrect."

I use another printer for another project and have no trouble there ... what is the problem??

    Hi,

The server may object to the colon in the file name. I would rename the file (e.g. replace the colon with a hyphen or a space) and try again.

    Thanks,

Well, actually the colon isn't in the original document that I was trying to upload. That's how the error message read back. I usually have a slash in that spot. I can try the hyphen or space and see if that fixes it. The other project is a monthly so it doesn't have that issue so maybe that's why it's working there.

Strange though, that I've been doing it this way for 10 years and now the problem shows up.

thanks for the reply ... I'll try that and post a result.

Well, I'll be danged ... putting a dash in there worked perfectly! I had two files, similarly named, and changed one and it uploaded fine. Didn't change the other and got the error message again. Changed it and it uploaded!

    Thank you!!!

I'm glad that worked! Slashes, like colons, can be a problem on some servers.

Well, their IT team must have changed something recently because, as I said, I've been uploading them like this for 10 years. Anyway, glad it worked ... I like Fetch and wasn't looking forward to trying to break in a new ftp program.

    thanks for your help!
