    Hi Jim,

Regarding the "doughnut" transfer-progress indicator... for some reason, the doughnut shows transfer progress only on downloads. When uploading a file, the doughnut appears, but it doesn't change its appearance to show transfer progress. The doughnut is always "whole", so to speak. Is that normal?

For uploads the doughnut reflects how much information Fetch has sent to the networking software in the operating system. That software buffers up to 128KB, so for small files it can appear that the entire file has already been sent, when in fact it has just been buffered by the operating system (and may take a minute to get to the server, over a dial-up connection).

For very large uploads the progress indicator is less affected by the buffering.
