How is it possible to throttle my FTP connection when using Fetch?

We do not have throttling features built into Fetch at this time. What sort of throttling would you like to be able to do?

    Thanks,

Jim, i routinely use the mac os x commandline ftp client for it's throttling. When you are on a dsl line, if you let ftp take ALL of the outgoing bandwidth, you can't even browse web pages comfortably, because the page requests can't get out.

throttling outgoing and less often incoming transfers would be nice.
i usually throttle put 30K on my 384kbps upstream connection.
that limits my outgoing to 30 KBps
please note that the capitalization of those rates is correct, and not a typo.
30KBps outgoing allows plenty of room for page requests.
6MBps incoming on DSL is useless if the request can't get out.

Thanks for the feedback; we'll consider adding such a feature to a future release.

In the meantime you might investigate IPNetSentryX from Sustainable Softworks; see this article.

    Thanks,
