For some reason, when I try to upload GIF and PSD files that I created in Photoshop 7, I get an error "Server response: Connection aborted, local error (-302)."

What does this mean? (I'm running OS X 10.1.5).

I can upload other file types, as well as GIF and PSD files created in Photoshop 6, with no problem.

This almost certainly means that you are uploading files to a Mac running the NetPresenz FTP server. NetPresenz has a bug that results in this error if the file being uploaded has a "Get Info" comment. You can work around the bug by selecting the file in the Finder, choosing "Get Info" from the File menu, and clearing the text comment field.

    Thanks,

    Thanks, Jim.

You're right; I'm uploading to a NetPresenz server. However, under OS X 10.1.5, the Get Info comments of the files I'm uploading are blank. I had to reboot into OS 9 in order to see the comments in the Get Info window.

Any ideas on how I could see/erase the OS 9 comments without having to reboot? Can one access the OS 9 Get Info window in Classic, even?

No, I don't know how to clear OS 9 comments from X. But I'll try to find out.

    Thanks,
