    is it possible to unzip files on my server using fetch?

    Hi,

    No, I'm sorry, Fetch cannot unzip files on the server for you.

    The main reason that Fetch does not offer a way to do this is that it requires that the server support a way for Fetch to tell it to unzip the file; that is not a standard or common feature on most FTP or SFTP servers. There are some possible tricks for accomplishing this anyway, but do not work with the majority of servers.

    You could telnet, rlogin, or ssh into the server and use the command-line to unzip the files, but that of course involves more steps and using a program besides Fetch.
